Refugees & asylum seekers welcome!
Show your support for refugees and asylum seekers in your volunteering activities by applying for this badge. Please read the criteria below.
Can Do Bristol is working with partners to provide volunteering opportunities to refugees and asylum seekers. By applying for this badge, you will be supporting this programme, while your volunteer vacancies may be filled more easily.
To be awarded the badge, you must have:
- A suitable safeguarding policy
- A suitable Equalities,Diversity & Inclusion policy
- All staff at the applying organisation have been given some form of equalities, diversity and inclusion training which includes refugee and asylum seeker awareness
- Reasonable meals and transport should be reimbursed or provided for volunteers
- In the volunteering activity page, please include details of extra benefits you may be able to provide, for example Training and Qualifications; Interpretation; English Language tuition; Childcare.

DBS badges
Request one of these badges to show that you hold a valid DBS certificate. Different badges are available for basic, standard and enhanced levels of DBS.
Please send us proof of your DBS to apply.
Please also note that DBS certificates aren't independently verified by Can Do Bristol and we cannot guarantee their authenticity.
Star connectors
The Star Connector badges celebrate those who have connected with other members. Reach different levels by completing your profile and connecting with other members.
Bronze: Fully completed profile.
Silver: Connect to 25 other Can Do members.
Gold: Connect to 50 other Can Do members.
You can view your connections, and accept or decline invitations, by clicking on the "your network" tab on your profile.
Ready to volunteer
Show volunteering organisations that you've signed up on Can Do Bristol and are ready to volunteer. Make sure you've completed your profile first so others can get to know you.
Star volunteer badges
These badges highlight that you've given your time to volunteer for a Bristol organisation.
Bronze: I've given at least 25 hours of my time supporting Can Do activities.
Silver: I've given over 50 hours support to one or more Can Do activities.
Gold: I've given over 100 hours support to one or more Can Do activities.

Would you like to apply to be a champion of this platform? This badge shows that you support members to be active and make connections, as well as giving feedback to improve Can Do.
